Pepper Schmeckpeper To All Instructors
Mrs. Pepper Schmeckpeper received her bachelor's degree in Textile and Apparel Technology in 1998 from Western Michigan University, where she met her wonderful husband and father of her four children. After earning her degree, she worked in the automotive industry designing woven seating fabric and teaching CAD classes to her coworkers and peers. She continued in this career as a contract designer, even as she began homeschooling her young children. As her children grew, she eventually left this career to focus solely on homeschooling. Beginning in 2018, she tutored Chinese children online for three years to help them master English pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Mrs. Schmeckpeper is passionate about many things which include math, writing, sewing, cooking, design, music, studying scripture, homeschooling, and taking care of her family. She is excited that she has the opportunity to use her degree, past experiences, and passions to teach a second year of Homeschool Connections classes. Beyond teaching at Homeschooling Connections, she is currently homeschooling her youngest child, and you may see her playing the baritone with her children in OHMI's band and orchestra, making costumes for OHMI's summer musical theater, teaching classes at Community Bible Study in Waterford, MI, and helping out in her church and community.
