On Friday, November 30th, 2018 at the Shelby Twp. campus, the drama class put on a production of “The Wizard of Oz.” The play was written by our very own drama teacher, Mrs. Megan Timberlake, and adapted from the novel by L. Frank Baum.

The performance was wonderful and the actors were amazing. The audience was huge, the entire room was filled with people sitting and standing. Over half of the classes were at the performance.

The costumes were very clever with the Munchkins wearing bright colors and flowers. One actor went all out with coloring his hair. In the props, beautiful flowers and trees were used. While all of the actors were great, the wicked witch’s laugh made everyone giggle.

Throughout the play, you could see that the actors were all having fun as they put on their performance. After the play, the audience had the chance to get autographs and pictures with all the actors in the play. The cast consisted of 13 people and had eight scenes.

Thank you to Mrs. Timberlake, and everyone who helped with the play, for sharing it with the Shelby Twp. campus.
